My vision in both eyes is 20/50. Was not supposed to drive even as a 17
year old but I had a night time job so the optometrist did not restrict my
driving. I have only had one round of laser surgery in my right eye, back in
98.
Then the vitrectomy, then the cataract surgery--all in my "ggod" eye. My,
used to be bad eye, is getting better to make up for the vision loss in the
right.
I subscribe to reader's Digest Large Print Condensed version books,. I
think it is 16.95 a year--6 volumes, 12 stories total. Also the Large Print
Reader's Digest. I also get large print books through a book club. I can read
hard cover books fairly well but cannot read paperbacks without a magnifying
glass and struggling. My Bibles are all large or giant print. My favorite is
a parallel Bible that really the print is not large enough but I struggle to
read it anyway!
I know Chattanooga! We broke down there once, back in 99 or 2000, and had
to spend 4 nights in a motel across the street from the transmission shop.
Thankfully we had our bicycles with us so we could ride for food and go to
little antique shops for entertainment. It was after that trip that we got our
first cell phone!
