The recent posting about the 7 year old and praying for her teacher reflects 
my feelings. I am a diabetes educator and mother of child with diabetes (age 
36 with DM for 26 years). I do not believe prayer can make one's pancreas 
produce more insulin, but I do believe in prayer for acceptance of the 
condition. With acceptance you have more energy to take care of yourself.
