RE: [IPr] How much back up stuff?
I would probably take double what you need. Don't forget batteries. A
doctor's note that you are diabetic and have list of medical supplies and
insulins you require.
You could take syringes along for you long actings should your pump fail.
When I had a pump with tubing, I would unhook tubing from the pump, and
place pump in the dish or tray and have never been questioned. It was too
much explaining if I left it on. I switched to the Omnipod in beginning of
May and am LOVING it!!!!!!!

Subject: [IPr] How much back up stuff?
Hi,
I had a question. I am going on a two week mission trip to Mexico.
How much extra supplies do you normally pack. This is the first time I've
done
something like this while being on the pump.
Should I take the Lantus or Levemir just in case? How about syringes should
I
anticipated needed a bunch or just reuse if I do need them?
I have a back up pump. Should I bring in and put it in my checked luggage
so it
is not a hassle at security? I also have a back up meter just in case.
Sorry for all the questions.
