Who has Ron Reagan's and my vote? The person who promised that
research would go on! He did not promise a Cure, he asked "what
if?" And I ask "what if" we elect a president who doesn't believe
in science? Nothing, and I'm tired of getting nothing for my tax
dollars!
I'm just a short-termer with diabetes. It wasn't until 1964 when I
first heard "there will be a cure this decade" talk. My father
hadn't really thought of a cure for himself, he just hoped that there
would be a cure for me. I don't expect a cure for me, I only hope
there is a prevention devised before my daughter becomes a Type 2, or
before either of my grandkids develops Type 1.
Ron Reagan a liberal?? I know he is an atheist, but I did not know
that being one would make him liberal. He seems rather apolitical
to me, except he does concern himself with the good of others. If
that makes him a liberal, then nail me to a cross because I am one
too.
I voted Bush in 2000 and I also voted for him in 94 and 98. So
don't proscribe me as being a "Bush Basher" I have my
"conservative" nature also, but I really am "compassionate" and it
doesn't depend on someone's religious or political beliefs.
Everyone has a right to believe in who they choose to believe. I
choose to believe John Kerry, you may disagree, but that does not
diminish in any way my beliefs.
