[IPr] insulin vs. pills
Hello,
I had a question for any one who has made the transition from pills to a
pump. Is the control better? Right now I am on pills (glimepiride) but am
still swinging wildly up and down (46-500). I am very nervous about the swings
because I am an EMT and can not afford to lose control on a call when a
patient needs me. Right now I am testing about 12 times a day (all out of
pocket expense) and still do not have control. I am thinking about asking my
doctor (a family MD) about the pump but wanted to get some information first.
Any help given would be very gratefully accepted. Thank you.
