RE: [IPp] high blood sugar after breakfast
Dear Jamie,
did you ever check the bloodsugars before breakfast, maybe there are
already high because of the dawn phenomenon. If the bloodsugar before
breakfast is ok, try to give here a dual bolus, this works out for my
son, who is on the pump since 2 month. We had the same problem that his
blood sugars were high at 10 o'clock in the morning and were low at
lunch. So I changed the basal right, from 8 to 10 he gets a higher rate
than he has from 10 to 12. It works out so far.
I really recommend the book Pumping Insulin - Everything you need for
success with an insulin pump from John Walsh and Ruth Roberts.
I wish you all the best
Katja ( sorry about my English but I'm German )

15. We are still talking very closely to our diabetic >educator to work
out our basal rates. My daughter is like a puzzle-she tells me. >Her
