RE: [IPp] Pizza Carbs
I'd go with the 30 carbs. I've never counted pizza more than 30 carbs
unless it was one of the jumbo size slices you get on the Jersey boardwalk.
In general I've had good luck using the published data from the companies.

I picked up a brochure that Pizza Hut publishes on the nutritional values of
its products when we ordered pizza yesterday. The publishing date is Sept.
2003. It says a slice of medium hand-tossed cheese pizza is 30 carbs. We
have
been using the Corinne T. Netzer Book of Carbs, published 2001 and it says
the
same slice is 43 carbs. I'm inclined to use the Pizza Hut count since it
comes from the producer and is a later publishing date-or do the retailers
"fudge"? If my daughter eats a couple of pieces it makes the difference in
a
unit of
insulin for a bolus. Pizza is so crazy to bolus for anyway, I'm tempted to
bolus for a count in the middle and go from there. What I really wonder,
generally, are the carb lists put out by the companies usually more
reliable or
are
the carb count books, such as the ones at Barnes and Noble closer to the
true
carb count?
