Then, thinking I needed to add email @ redacted to my Contacts,
I did.
But I keep getting the message below, and the post does not show up
on IP
Feb 2010.
I'm failing somehow in my try to post.

Hi--This is my first ever post here, hope I do it right. 71 yr old T2
=
w/Animas 1 year---One finger slow typist :-)
Anyhow, I found that some of my Animas Inserts were folding over
=
instead of going in straight. Finally, I discovered that I was
putting =
the tubing in the small slot (before pulling out the white center =
plunger to "cock" the mechanism). When I would pull out the center =
mechanism, the white plastic piece was not level, both sides not
evenly =
pulled out.
That meant, that when the plunger would go off, the needle would
be =
driven at a slight angle, and fold over. The answer is for me (not)
to =
put the tubing in the small slot, but let it hang loose, out of the
way, =
inside of the mechanism. Then everything is free, the plastic center
is =
not being held back on one side, pulls out to a level position, the =
insert goes in straight----
I was an Enguineerrr, retired, and learned that a column,
slightly =
tilted, would fail easily, and using standard column designs, the =
failure would be in thirds. Sure enough, the inserts were folding
over, =
at about one third of the way up from the tip.
That gave me the clue.
Anyway, this is my first post, hope the tip is helpful, and hope
I =
did it right..
Enguineerrr---
A mind is a terrible thing--- :-))) <grin>
