Loree,

The first time this happened to me I thought for sure it had to be something
non-diabetes related because when I was finally able to test my BG it wasn't too
low. My doctor insisted that it was and that the liver dump is what brought me
out of it. I live alone so I don't have any witnesses to what happened in the
beginning. When they did happen I would wake up and be aware of what was going
on but could not control my body. If I tried to move my arm to get juice off my
nightstand my arm would just fly off in another direction. I have fallen out of
bed during these seizures. I think the worst part is that I would be freezing
the entire time but couldn't even control my limbs enough to pull a blanket over
myself. I was told by a few people that the cold is caused by the BG heading
back up but I have no idea if that's true or how that works.

Once I was awake, my seizures could last a long time. Seemed like forever but
I'm sure it was no more than an hour or two at most. When I could finally
control my body enough to test my BG was never extremely low or high, but would
go very high soon after. I have not had an experience like that since I got a
pump, though.
