Well, these days I don't do many eye checkups (or other doctor
visits) because, well, I don't have any insurance to cover doctor's
appointments. So, I deal with things the best I can. I try to see
an optometrist once per year for my contact lenses, but I do stretch
that as well and it's been a year and half since I was last in. When
you don't have good insurance or a lot of money you tend to do the
least amount of medical things that you can, since it's so
expensive. My laser surgery for my PVD condition cost me $650. I
had to make payments to cover that.
