Re: RE: [IP] numb fingers
I had CTS surgery on my right hand many years ago it has never bothered me
since. Although occasionally I do feel the tingling, or don't feel the
numbness (LOL) in my pinky and ring finger you speak of. Sometimes I take an
anti-inflamatory and it helps but most of the time I just ignore it and it
passes. Could just be my age, 50, and the elbow is getting wore out. No pain
there either but it is a classic sign of Ulner nerve symptomatics.

Oh wow, then it's not carpel tunnel. My elbow seems fine; no pain at all
and have full ROM in both elbow and shoulder.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is involving the thumb, index and middle
finger
numbness/tingling. Also in later stages electric shock feelings up
the arm.
These are caused by pressure or damage to the Median nerve that goes
through
the Carpal Tunnel located at the wrist/palm area. When tingling
occurs on the
other part of the hand ring, pinky it is another nerve called the
Ulner. This
has nothing to do with CPS as the Ulnar nerve is where the feelings
for the
pinky and ring finger are centered. The Ulner runs through the elbow.
If you
have possibly injured the elbow or have some inflamation it may be
the cause
of your symptoms.

Hmmm. I was wondering if that could be the problem. Thanks Dawn.

Sue,
I have the same thing tingly fingers and my feet are fine. I was
diagnosed
with
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. At this point it's not bad enough for
surgery.
